pumpkin time
Another new painting...just in time for October and Halloween. I used a lot more acrylic on this piece then I normally do and I broke out the shiny gold once again. I love that stuff! This one, unlike the last two I posted, is available for purchase.

os gemeos
What a treat to see a piece from some of your favorite artists on your way to work! I spotted this Os Gemeos piece on my street corner this morning. I have to assume it's definitely their doing because you can see their typical yellow skin style person in the boat. Very cool!
Os Gemeos are a pair of twin brothers from Brazil who have grown from simple street artists to being featured in Juxtapoz magazine and the documentary, Bomb It!. I have loved their work for years and was thrilled when I got to see them painting a giant mural in Coney Island (across from the subway station.) You can also find their art around areas of Williamsburg. For more reading or information, check here:

Alice and the White Rabbit
Two new paintings are completed! These were painted on commission so I hate to tell you that they are already sold. I'm honestly surprised I hadn't gotten to these two subjects sooner since I have done so many other Alice characters in the past. I had a lot of fun working on these.
Which actually brings me to something I'd like to mention here, if you're interested in purchasing a piece already on the website, prices are now marked on the pieces that are available in the portfolio section. Or, if you are interested in something specific or have a set budget, please feel free to contact me about a commission. I'm more then happy to work to your specifications! Cheers and please feel free to comment, critique, etc.

new paintings!
I finally have had the chance to buckle down and start painting again. I moved in July and it was a few months of all of my supplies being lost in boxes and then the moving and exhaustion. Plus, summertime in the city is always so busy??? Anyways, I shouldn't make excuses but I am happy that I've finally been able to get started again this past weekend. I'm working on two commissioned pieces. Stay tuned for the final results very soon!
Earmint CD Cover
A while back, I participated in a project to design an album cover for a guy who records under the name Earmint. The project was really cool and a lot of fun to do. It started with a simple line drawing portrait of the guy. He then sent this to a number of different artists with the direction to "Do as you please." The results are very cool and it's fun to see everyone's different styles and interpretations.
You can see my final cover design, as well as see the other participants' pieces and download the album (called "Gallery") for FREE(!) here:
